About Granddaddy Purple

Granddaddy Purple (aka Grand Daddy Purps) is one of the most popular Indica strains on the west coast and is perhaps the most well known ‘purple’ cannabis strain in the US.

Created back in 2003 by Ken Estes in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ken and his team sought out to create the ultimate Indica hybrid by merging two strains with fantastic genetics – Purple Urkle and Big Bud. The product of these two, Grand Daddy Purple, is a spitting image of it’s parents’ two best qualities – the deep and dark purple hue from Purple Urkle and the overgrown, dense buds of Big Bud. The dark purple buds blend well with the bright orange hairs and frosted white trichomes that generously cover the bud making it an extremely photogenic strain.

From San Francisco down to Los Angeles, Granddaddy Purple is one of the most sought after Indica strains due to it’s Hollywood looks and classic Indica effects.

Despite this popularity, however, many growers and those working in the dispensary world have claimed that Grand Daddy Purps is almost identical to another famous purple strain – https://weedfarm.store/product/blue-zkittlez/

Some even go so far as to speculate that these two strains may be in fact the same. Others simply say that they are so early similar in lineage, look, taste, and effects that they are simply confused with one another by growers, dispensaries, and consumers alike.

Perfect for night time use Grand Daddy Purple hits both the body and mind initially but quickly fades into a smooth body buzz like most heavy Indicas do. For patients Granddaddy Purps is ideal for pain management. It can also be effective at treating insomnia, depression and anxiety. Novice users beware though, this strain can pack a powerful punch. We’d recommend starting with a hit or two and waiting a few minutes before opting to consume more. buy LSD online.

Granddaddy Purple grows best indoor product grand-daddy-purple-kush-wax/ors but can be grown outside as well. Flowering commences usually around 70-77 days when grown indoors and growers can expect harvest in early October when grown outdoors. The oversized buds may begin to weigh down the plant, especially if grown outdoors. When grown indoors the plant should be short and stocky enough to hold the weight but you may want to prepare to offer some support around the 60 day mark if you notice the buds beginning to wear down the plant’s frame. Yields can top 4 ounces per plant on an indoor grow and well over 3 pounds per plant on an outdoor grow. For optimal results keep temperatures within the 70’s throughout the grow cycle and keep humidity between 50-55%.

Good indica! It took me a while to feel it. Smoking a xl cone and half way through, I relaxed for a minute. As I went to light it up again, I realized it was kicking in. It truly sneaks up on you. I will finish the cone and see what type of high this gives me. Smooth taste..

This is simply wonderful. I suffer from chronic migraines, occasional insomnia and anxiety. This strain is just what the doctor ordered. I use the distillate cartridges from VSPR. Not much is needed, a cartridge will last me a month or longer, and my hubby uses it sometimes too. It helps his aches and pains, the blight of the blue-collar-heroes. A far as my migraines, they have diminished in frequency, and I’ve tried EVERYTHING the Neurologist had to offer. Was sick from those brain-tonics for months. In a million years you couldn’t have told me the solution was weed, who knew?

This is my favorite strain! It helps me with insomnia and my muscle spasms! I don’t think a doctor could prescribe me anything better than this! It also works better than sleep teas from my experience. I used to drink sleep teas before going to sleep, but I think after a while of daily use it stops working, or it becomes less effective. This was used after using melatonin pills that stopped working, and those were used after sleep pills that stopped working. I have horrible back pain, scoliosis and sciatica, and have been seeking help for this problem for a long time. I grew up poor and became poor as an adult, and have never been to afford any sort of help. I turned to going to a chiropractor and a masseuse, but I could only afford so many visits. I eventually resorted to doing yoga daily. It helps a lot, and it’s affordable, but it takes longer and continued practice to see positive results, but I still do it every night and now couple it with GDP! When I learned of the effects of this strain, I had to get my own stash, and I’ll eventually grow my own! I’m grateful of nature, and the person who created this strain, Ken Estes! I feel that there’s hope for me to live a better life because of this strain!

Gdp has been personal favorite of mine for several years. It is fantastic for pain relief! The effects of this strain come on slowly, but when they finally hit, they hit HARD! If you have a low tolerance or are new to this strain, tread lightly at first! Wait at least 20 minutes before upping your intake or be prepared to find a spot you don’t mind staying in for a while… a reallllly looooong while. Either way, I suggest spending the uptake time prepping your snacks, picking a movie that doesn’t require ANY concentration at all & making a comfy nest to relax in; then, just sit back & enjoy the ride!

I have really bad sleep insomnia and sleeping pills just aren’t doing it for me so I’ve moved exclusively to a marijuana solution and am sleeping more then I was when I was on medication

This has come to be my go to flower when my insomnia won’t let up. It has a smooth taste, not too harsh. It relaxes not only the body, but the mind too. A good couch lock, time to doze off kinda feeling. Definitely great for stress, insomnia, and depression.

This is my second review on this strain I’m just focusing on the high not the taste. After my first toke it took a little while to kick in but when it does your pain will go away like literally it melts away you don’t have a care in the world I would recommend to anyone trying to get away from pain

Excellent for chilling that segues directly into sleep. I haven’t had a ton of luck finding strains that actually allow me to fall asleep but this one is like a warm blanket

Had a grape exhale which was kind of neat. The high hit fast. When the initial rush wears off, then you relax quite a bit and feel a smidge lazy… but easily entertained. Not super euphoric and the initial come on is a little intense (but no post-anxiety), otherwise I would give it a 5.

GDP is a heavy indica the effects come on slowly leaving you in a euphoric state, relaxing my muscles and calming the bladder spasms, My pain level this evening was about a 9 with sharp pains stabbing in my upper abdomen, about 15 to minutes after smoking the full effects kicked in, the pain had decreased to about a 5 little high but it’s my bedtime so I will be sleeping soon especially after my night meds kick in.
